Artist's Comments

Fairly small. 8.5"x11", but probably one of my most successful watercolors to date. The fact that I did a color study beforehand was indespensible. I really need to do that more often... still trying to salvage another painting in this thematic set that I didn't do that for. Awesome concept, good sketch.. horrible execution on my part just because the colors don't go well together. Too many varying degrees of saturation. Anyway... I don't really know. Been contemplating a lot of Steampunk stuff lately. He's roughly based on my character Johan, a rather villanous clockwork construct who works as a sky pirate.

'Crazy' is not a clinical term...I'm afraid we really can't test your child for 'crazy.'

I love the curve of his body. I'm not a particular fan of musclely men, but I love how organic it looks. Good job.

it's very nice. his expression is a bit unsettling and i don't particularly like the hair and it could do with some more cogwheels in the bg but i like the pose and the idea and his muscles! *huhuhu*

Ah, this particular piece really stands out to me. I don't know if I can exactly describe it, but the way you've drawn the body is quite appealing; it looks very curvy is the only way I can think to describe it. Either way, I like it a lot. Nice job.
